It will be free. If you sign in to the PSN first and then insert the game disc
and run it, it will automatically update.

Yes the patch will be free. It'll become available via PSN. So you'll be notified when you run the game, that an update is available/required.

Thanks,
Steve

i had great expectations from this game.i played the first one so many times, that i cant even remember.i loved the first game, and i'm struggling to like the new one.after all this useful conversation here at this thread, and after the honest answers from Steve,i realise that things have change.it doesn't matter how many years ago we all started to play videogames.it also doesn't matter how much we loved or hated the first SE game.what matters is that in today's gaming industry, everything has to do with sales and winning new audience.it's totally understandable and logical.if SEV2 didn't do the same thing,it would be come just another non mentioned game like many others before.i just wish as a gamer that all gaming developers keep in their minds that before they become developers, they were just simple and ordinary gamers like we are.i'm not talking about Steve, because he had the guts to speak honestly about everything related to the game.i appreciate that, and he earned my respect.truth is, that gaming industry has changed, and the only thing we can do,is keep up,or stop following.peace.
Come and take it

Hi Rodrigo,

No this won't be a Move compatible patch. I suppose that is an option for the future. But you'd need to speak to 505 Games about that :)

We have DLC in the works. Some for consoles, some for PC, some for both. This will form part of bigger announcements as things get sorted and agreed between all our partners.

PC has seen a lot of updates and additions already. Hopefully we can put some attention on our console customers very soon, with actual content going live. We'll be keeping you posted.

For PC we have released a number of patch and content drops already. The PS3 patch may even appear tonight. This will address the Save Game problem on PS3.

W're working on various content. Dates are being sorted at 505's side now. We're in that frustrating period where we want to let you know what's coming for consoles, but due to circumstances beyond our control we can't yet announce. Grr!

Hopefully very soon you'll get your announcements. No snow maps being worked on yet Diego.

hi steve,i have a few wishes for sniper elite 3,i dont know if they are any good but here i go....no1,how about being able to change into an enemies uniform and playing dead in order to stealth kill,it might be handy for taking out lone guards or footpatrols ,you can only use it for 1 kill.
no2,what about side missions, maybe helping people escape areas or killing certain soldiers in return for weapon upgrades like extended mags or suppressors that only last for a certain amount of kills.
no3,i would like to be able to lift up my trip/land mines if i choose to and gain experience each time i use them in order to maybe create a chain link of explosions or learning to plant them in a different way.
just a few ideas, like i said,i dont know if they are any good or not but it might work,i had more but my alzheimers is kicking in again LOL
i think this game is brilliant ,good job guysBigGrin

Hi I have only had this game for a few days and I like it but have a few questions about itBigGrin

Will there ever be a full Multiplayer mode on Console because after you beat campaign you get bored easily and this is one of the reasons I'm thinking about returning the game.

Why is the campaign so short? I feel like it onlyw took me an hour to complete the whole campaign front to back when other games take me 1-7 days of playing.

Also on the multiplayer topic Why wasn't it added to begin with? You have a full Sniper based game which I love but don't have multiplayer to show your skills with it. The AI is completely irritating on all levels and doesn't prove whether or not you have skill which is why I think Multiplayer should've had come with this game.

I have friends who want this game but have second thoughts once knowing no multiplayer for more than 2 people was going to be with it.

Thank you for reading this I love the game but just think there a a few things wrong with it.Blushing

Some people will take 5 or 6 hours to complete the campaign section, others will take 20-30 hours. This is down to play styles. We don't stop a faster "run & gun" approach, we just aim to make it very difficult for you. Some people will never run in this game, others will charge around.

A game that offers 11 level single player campaign, 3 single player challenges, 9 co-op challenges and a full co-op campaign... that's pretty feature rich! Originally when we were planning the scope of the project, multiplayer was a lower priority than co-op. Its not simply a case of picking what we want in the game then going and doing it. There are many other factors that have to be considered.

The Splinter Cell series doesn't offer multiplayer either. MP isn't always the right choice.

Hi,

Glad you're enjoying the game.

With regards to your questions... changing into enemy uniforms to infiltrate restricted areas/kill targets seems cool. Its done in Hitman very well, with Absolution out later this year. I'd prefer to keep us away from the Hitman style, to maintain our own identity, but maybe there is room for something like this.

Weapon upgrades are always nice. The historical accuracy we concentrated on for V2 meant an upgrade system didn't feel right, but maybe for V3 this might work better. Side missions would be very cool.

Picking up placed explosives seems to be a common theme among players, and so will be looked at during any future development plans.

Thanks,
Steve

thanks for the quick reply steve,i have a few more ideas that might be cool,no1, maybe hand to hand combat or knife/bayonet when the enemy gets too close.
no2, i was thinking of enemy at the gates and the use of a dummy to lure out enemy snipers.
no3, i really think destructible environments would be a nice touch.
no4,flashback missions showing how our sniper learned his trade, maybe in a different theatre of WWII...against the japanese in jungles or rescuing pows.
no5,i like this 1,i would like to go back to using health packs instead regenerating health.
again im not sure if these ideas could work in the type of game that SE is but its great to know that you take the time and effort to read our thoughts and opinions on your game, keep her lit my man Laugh .

1. Hand to hand combat, we refer to this as "Melee". We didn't want to offer this in SEv2 but if we do make a new SE3 this is likely to be included - rifle butt in face type thing. BigGrin

2. Dummy or hat on a stick to lure out enemy snipers... might be a difficult thing to control and setup with a controller. I like the idea of luring snipers out in a more realistic fashion than seen in SEv2. I'm not sure a dummy is the way forward though.

3. Destructible envs would be a great addition. However this is expensive technology, not just in terms of making it work, but running it on consoles will have a hit on memory - meaning something else needs to be sacrificed.

4. I'm not a fan of flashbacks to develop characterisation. It would be great to get more varied environments into the game though. Most of SEv2 was Berlin based. It'd be nice to get more locations with different colour palettes. I know others have talked about snow levels on here - perhaps Italian Alps would be nice BigGrin

5. Regenerating health is not the preferred option for the original SE fans. But it has contributed to the success of the title and potentially added many new fans. Its difficult to say which is the more desirable solution for health. Perhaps offering both to players is the way forward... who knows. Maybe an item we should add to the survey we're doing.

Thanks,
Steve

Hey Steve,
In the game I was approaching an enemy from behind to perform a stealth kill but before i got close he turned around and killed me.So I would like a more frontal melee attack, that'll be cool.

And I have some plans that I would like you to take into consideration, (I put this in the forum before) more killTally maps but with Russians enemies, BUT make it so I can play them solo too.

A DLC mission where you are not a sniper but a infantry man in the trenches and you have a bunch of AI teammates helping you move forward.

And of Course More weapons: British/Canadian Lee Enfield Rifle with the 10 round capacity, but of course you would need to balance that out with the other snperrifles.
The British Sten Gun, have it with a higher firing rate than the Thompson but lower than the MP40 and easy to control.
Last is a Revolver(any kind of revolver will be fine) with the most damage but the slowest firing rate.
(can you add the panzerfaust in the loadout screen.)
I Lurk in the Shadows
