Hello all,

I am in the process of organising an interview with Steve Hart to ask him 10 questions the community wants answered! So I need your, the communities questions, here are some of mine!

My first question is: Why the change of uniform? In Sniper Elite 1, you were dressed as a German Sniper to keep your true intentions hidden, why has this changed?

My second question is: Kill Hitler is a fun DLC, and im sure was a sneaky marketing strategy, are we likely to see a deeper and more plot related DLC in the future?

If you any questions please post them below. They may feature in a possible interview with Steve Hart!

He is registered under Steve Hart on the fourms here.

I asked him the same question and this is what he wrote me.

"Hey,

As a developer we try to get as much into our games and that work gets prioritised and priced. The publisher plays a big part in which items get worked on and between developer and publisher it was decided to focus attention on co-op play.

For me personally, I believe the online co-op is best suited to this title. Its the more popular type of online play for third person games, especially stealth based ones. It also provides a polished experience for the players. If we were to cram MP into console development, we'd not have been ready to release for another year. And I can tell you we worked a lot of overtime to make the whole campaign play via co-op.

Ultimately I'm proud of our achievements with this title and hopefully you'll find a place in your heart for the online co-op we offer on consoles, it is great fun.

All the best,
Steve"

After reading i was thinking, this is SNIPER ELITE
TDM/DM MULTIPLAYER is best suited for this title. thats why you gave it to PC.

Why have actions such as deploying equipment whilst prone or picking up unused equipment possible in the First SE but not in V2?

Why No Splitscreen coop?

Why no option to watch your partners Killcam in Co-op?

Why cant tripwires be tripped by vehicles?
Basically my question is ...

Why doesnt SEV2 have all the things that made SE1 great?
All I can think of.....

I think you have to e-mail 505 Games, cause it looks like Rebellion isn't helping.

I'd already stated in an afore thread, it would take a lot longer to integrate MP onto Consoles, but no-one realised this :/

Why is this called sniper elite when the level and game design does not let me

Take a shot further out than 400 meters.
Be sneaky
Wound enemy soldiers
Use proper range finding, windage estimation etc
set my dope (i mean really, kentucky windage only??)
Why were resources used to create big spaces that are totally useless considering the linwarity of the levels?
There are huge parts in say the demo levels that dont go anywhere and are never used. Why?

Honestly to me it looks those things were planned and cut. I mean why have a last known position indicator when enemies have eagle eyes etc?

I'd like to know why the New Zealand release is a week behind the rest of the world, even Australia, there's no excuse for lazy distribution.

Why apparently have they done away with the large non linear levels and open approach stealth play that made the first game so good?

I've been thoroughly enjoying this game (XBox), playing missions slowly and carefully to get my best possible scores. That was up until an hour ago when I got to Mission 10 where I discovered re-spawning enemies manning the MG nests. It's completely killed my enthusiasm to play the level. A check of the leader-board shows the No.1 player has racked up 733 kills, obviously by sitting in one spot for hours on end shooting the re-spawning enemies one after the other. The Leader-boards for Mission 10, Mission 3 and the Campaign total are now ruined and it's pointless to go for high scores on either missions.

So my questions are:

Why were re-spawning enemies put into a score-based game?
Can this be patched out and can those entries on the leader-boards above the max kill count for a level be removed?

my friend, you have said what i have have been feeling since i got to the second level. why did you guys remove the wide range of space and gave me certain paths to go through(linear)?

you guys should re-make the original, that one is better than V2.
