Bought the game today, started downloading via steam.
Comodo anti virus picked up the main exe as malware.
I'm pretty sure this is a false positive, how ever it's a little discouraging for a first time buyer.

See buying Norton doesn't actually solve the problem of the game, being detected as malware by one of the major anti virus providers does it? And no I won't buy Norton I actually like to keep my pc free of resource hogs, now Norton has gotten better but only marginal. Norton is a great product for people who don't know anything about protecting themselves from Viruses or the dangers of the internet. I however won't be buying Norton or any other virus software. The previous post was for the game manufacture to fix said issue, not to be told to buy another piece of software which doesn't fix said issue to begin with.

I use Comodo on one of my machines. It is a fairly common issue for it to report newly installed .exe files or software as a threat. It is not a significant problem, and does not necessarily indicate a problem with either Comodo or the new software.

The fix:

First, ensure that you trust the new software (and its source / origin). Scan the new software with good antivirus.

Second, open the settings of Comodo, look for the exception list of trusted files / executables, and add the new software (in this case, SEv2) to the trusted files list (tick the box to allow it to run).

Third, run the new .exe file again. It should launch with no problems.

Hope that helps,
Jim
